Biohazard, Crime Scene, and Trauma Cleanup

Biohazard, Crime Scene, and Trauma Cleanup

At Compleat Environmental, we understand how difficult it is to manage a traumatic situation. Our empathetic and attentive-to-detail team has learned to rationally detach from the task while providing comfort to those affected.

Each of our team members acts as a “second responder” whose goal is to relieve others of the cleanup and ensure that the facility or commercial space is returned to its sanitized, pre-accident condition. The crew will clean the space where the crime or accident occurred, remove biohazardous materials, and deodorize the environment. When applicable, we also work with insurance companies to make the process easy.

Why Choose a Professional?

It’s not a good idea for those who aren’t properly trained to clean a trauma scene, as exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials without proper personal protective equipment (PPE) can have health consequences. Our cleanup team is well-educated on biohazard infectious waste in vomit, feces, and blood. The team knows not to risk cross-contamination of biohazardous material.

Trauma and Crime Scene Cleanup Precautions and Procedure

The Compleat Environmental team takes extreme caution with biohazards, and is trained on various precautions including needlestick prevention, biohazard control, bloodborne pathogens, and disposal, as well as universal OSHA precautions.

Our professionals clean, disinfect, and deodorize the commercial area following an accident. They also dispose of biohazardous waste in accordance with health and OSHA regulations as well as federal, state and/or local regulations.

Our team understands that commercial biohazard, trauma, and crime scene cleanup is not an easy task and requires specialized equipment and appropriate certifications. Compleat Environmental assesses, decontaminates, and monitors medical waste in a wide variety of different situations, from industrial accidents to infectious disease, viral, and microbial site decontamination.

Proper Biohazard Cleanup in Commercial Environments

At Compleat, it’s our goal to transform any unsafe commercial environment back to the pre-loss condition with all of the necessary equipment.

Before remediation even starts, a plan is put into place. Afterwards, the team carefully removes any potentially infectious materials and removes fabric and carpeting. Other materials are either removed, or professionally decontaminated and sanitized. If necessary, drywall and flooring are sealed to cover stains. Hazardous medical waste is also disposed of in accordance with OSHA regulations. After the bulk cleaning, basic sanitization and cleaning will follow.

Typically, cleanup in commercial environments can be cleaned within one day with multiple technicians. However, if dangerous fluids have seeped and congealed into other rooms within a facility, the process can take several days.

In the end, no matter the reason for cleanup, Compleat Environmental staff members can service your needs as effectively as possible, while also respecting the emotions surrounding traumatic events.
