All businesses and institutions in Central PA are encouraged to all our marketing department in York (717-757-2400) or Ephrata (717-738-2121) to schedule an appointment to talk about disaster planning and becoming a member of our Emergency Recovery Preparedness program. ERP members receive the highest priority emergency service, even in times of high volume calls.

Members of our ERP program may receive a complimentary 32-page book, Guide to Emergency Planning. Included in the guide are chapters on how to develop a plan, how to implement the plan, what to do after the disaster, health concerns about water damage, assessing risk and protecting investments, determining the scope and value of the loss, key terms and phrases, and an array of helpful forms.

As a public service, we have researched and provided the following reference materials to aid businesses and institutions in their Emergency Planning process:

• How to Implement a Plan: An Emergency Management Guide for Business & Industry (pdf)
  A 67-page emergency planning form sponsored by a public-private sponsorship and the Federal Emergency Management Agency(FEMA). Includes establishing training teams, conducting a vulnerability analysis, developing and implementing plans, recovery and restoration. 
  
• How to Create A Business Emergency Plan (doc)
  13 pages, paragraph form, adapted from the Ready.gov website and modified by the South Central Pa Task Force's Business, Industry & Infrastructure Subcommittee.
  
• A Disaster Preparedness Planning Guide for Facilities (pdf)
  19 pages, from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), intended to provide assistance in meeting the planning requirements necessary to protect employees and clients who may be conducting business within the facility. It is intentionally generic in nature, so that it may apply to a variety of public buildings and large facilities where resident or worker populations may be at risk as a result of natural or human-caused disasters.
